Family Of Pedophiles Raped Kids For 30 Years Before Being Caught

By Holly Christodoulou, The Sun

A sick family raped children during a 30-year campaign of abuse branded the “worst ever case of its kind” by a judge.

Twisted Antony Potts and three members of his family carried out a string of child abuse offenses over the course of three decades.

The 49-year-old was described as a “deeply depraved man” as he was jailed for life at Birmingham Crown Court.

He was convicted of 13 counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and nine counts of inciting a child to perform a sexual act and cruelty.

Antony was joined in the docket by his dad, Keith Potts, who was caged for eight years alongside his wife, Julie, both for child cruelty.

Antony’s wife, Elaine, and family friend Joanne Hoye were also both jailed for four years after pleading guilty to neglect.

Brother Joshua Potts admitted to multiple counts of rape and sexual assault against children, while his sibling Nathan, 26, was jailed for 16 years for two counts of rape of a child, four counts of sexual assault, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and sex with another adult.

Jailing Antony Potts, Judge Carr told him: “You are a deeply depraved man who has taken many, many opportunities to abuse children and corrupt them.“

These are horrendous offenses.

“In 50 years practice and presiding over cases like this, I cannot think of a worse one.”
The court heard how the sickening abuse first came to light in 1989 when a girl came forward and told cops what Antony had done to her.

But the case was never brought to trial and in May 2015, three more children – all aged under 14 – said they had been abused by Antony and others.

Police were once again called but it was decided there was insufficient evidence to bring charges. However, the case was reopened in January 2016 when a fifth victim came forward.

The full extent of the abuse began to unravel and a further three victims were identified – meaning the vile family could be brought to trial.

Jurors were read emotional victim impact statements giving harrowing details of how the victims were “groomed and brainwashed” by their abusers.

One said the abuse had a “major impact” on her life and she felt she was “let down as a child” by the police.

She also said she has suffered from “constant and daily panic attacks,” has post-traumatic stress disorder and has “reduced self-worth.”

Another victim said: “I want Antony to go to prison all his life so he can’t hurt anyone else.”

Joshua Potts will be sentenced in August.

Task force serves 147 warrants, arrests 19 alleged child predators

by Marian Camacho

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A three-month-long statewide operation has led to the arrest of 19 alleged child predators and the rescue of two children.

New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas says the joint operation, dubbed Operation Broken Heart V, is focused on protecting New Mexico children from sexual exploitation and rape.

James Stewart and Teri Sanchez are included in the report. The parents came into the spotlight for a horrific case of child abuse involving their 7-year-old daughter. Balderas says in total, the Internet Crimes Against Children task force served 147 search warrants over the three-month time span.

“I’m grateful for the work of Office of the Attorney General special agents along with local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who belong to the New Mexico ICAC task force for saving children from horrific abuse and torture,” said Attorney General Balderas. “We have no higher priority than protecting our children, and thanks to our ICAC task force and successful initiatives like Operation Broken Heart V, our communities around the state are safer for children and families.”

Police reveal seven have been arrested in Lincolnshire church child abuse probe so far

The senior detective leading Operation Redstone believes there are more victims who have not yet come forward

by Paul Whitelam

A major police investigation into child abuse at church organisations in Lincolnshire has led to the conviction of three paedophiles - and a senior detective believes there are more to come.

Depraved former deputy head teacher Roy Griffiths, 82, is the third person to be jailed as a result of Operation Redstone, an investigation into complaints of abuse at the Lincoln Diocese.

John Bailey, 76, former director of education for the Diocese of Lincoln and Stephen Crabtree, the rector of Washingborough and Heighington until 2014, have also both been given prison sentences for abuse.

Four other people have also been arrested.

Detective Superintendent Rick Hatton, who is leading the operation, today reveals he believes there a number of other victims out there and has made an appeal for them to come forward.

Dean of Lincoln 'truly sorry' that child sex abuse victims at Lincoln Cathedral School had to wait 50 years for justice.

He said: "We have spoken to over 250 people during our investigation. If I’m honest, I think there will be other people who have suffered abuse at the Cathedral School who have yet to talk to us.

"It takes courage for victims of non-recent abuse to speak up. I hope the success we have seen to date in securing convictions may help anyone who wants to talk to us to pick up the phone.

"We are happy to speak to anyone who went to the Cathedral School, whether they wish to make a complaint or not.”

Griffiths, of South Street, Sherborne, Dorset, was deputy head as well as housemaster and choirmaster at the former Lincoln Cathedral School. He was jailed for six years and seven months at Lincoln Crown Court after he admitted six charges of indecent assault against six boys between January 1963 and July 1970.

He left the school in 1970 following a complaint about his behaviour - but the court heard that neither the school nor the Lincoln Diocese passed the matter onto the police at the time.

Bailey, 76, was director of education for the Diocese of Lincoln from 1996 until he resigned in 2002. He was jailed for six years in 2017 after he pleaded guilty to 25 charges of indecent assault - some of which dated back more than 60 years.

And Crabtree, the rector of Washingborough and Heighington until 2014, was jailed for three years in March 2016 after admitting six counts of indecent assault on a 15-year-old girl between April 1992 and April 1993.

Of the other four people who have been arrested, two of them will not be charged while the other two suspects are still under investigation.

Operation Redstone was launched in 2015 to investigate 'historical claims' of child abuse at Lincoln Cathedral School and some churches in the Lincoln Diocese, some of which date back to 1958.

The Dean of Lincoln The Very Reverend Christine Wilson said: "The conviction of Roy Griffiths recognises the appalling crimes he perpetrated while in a position of trust and responsibility at the then Cathedral School.

"This case will have brought to the surface profoundly disturbing memories, for the victims of his crimes, their families, and for those who witnessed the abuse of their friends and peers.

Former Lincoln deputy headmaster jailed for shocking offences committed almost 50 years ago
"On behalf of the cathedral, I want to say that I am truly sorry that these matters have only now been brought to justice.

"It is deeply shameful that those who were abused have had to spend most of their lifetime dealing with the aftermath of the abuse perpetrated against them."

The Dean added: "Tragically, for some, justice came too late. The victims and survivors of Griffiths’ horrendous crimes, and the families of those who have died before justice could be served, have shown enormous courage.

"I wish to acknowledge their bravery in speaking out. Their extraordinary resilience has enabled Griffiths to be brought to justice. It is thanks to them that he now has to account for his actions.

"Lincoln Cathedral will continue to support Roy Griffiths’ victims and their families in any way that we can.

Sex offending churchman confessed crime to Lincoln diocese after letter from victim – but was allowed to keep his job for years.

"Our team stands ready to support anyone affected by this case or who contacts us about any issue of harm and abuse.

"We promise to listen attentively to their stories, walk alongside them in seeking justice and ensure that their voices are heard.

"We are resolute in our commitment to ensure that Lincoln Cathedral today is a safe place, and to disrupt the conditions in which abuse can happen."

El Paso, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at ports of entry in El Paso, West Texas, and New Mexico identified 138 violations during the past week. CBP officers apprehended fugitives, identified immigration violations, seized drugs, and confiscated prohibited agriculture items during the last seven days.

CBP officers working at area ports identified 29 fugitives during the previous week including one man who was wanted in Houston on aggravated sexual assault on a child charges. The arrest was made Aug. 14 at the Paso Del Norte pedestrian crossing when 55-year-old Lucio Reyes Alvarez was identified as a wanted subject, as CBP officers processed his entry document. CBP officers confirmed the warrant and took custody of the subject without incident. He was turned over to the El Paso Police Department and booked into the El Paso County Jail where he is currently detained.

“The CBP inspection process routinely results in fugitives being identified and apprehended,” said CBP El Paso Director of Field Operations Ana B. Hinojosa. “El Paso is recognized as one of the safest large cities in the U.S. and we believe that the work being done by CBP personnel at area ports of entry have helped the city achieve that notable rank. In this case specifically, our officers prevented a person wanted for being a sexual predator against children, from being able to enter our city and our neighborhoods.” (More.)

Members of largest online child pornography community arrested:

Members of largest online child pornography community arrested:
Some of these brutal pedophiles have yet to be captured. The more I hear about this group, the more cruel and shocking are the reports of abuse.
Please pray they are captured, and that their victims are healed from their ordeals: mentally, emotionally, spirituality and physically. Thank you.
