Two missing Children
Authorities with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Kiah Firth, 2, and Kristin Firth, 4, were last seen in the 100 block of West University Boulevard.
Kiah Firth was described as an Asian girl, 1 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 25 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink sundress with a flower print.
Kristin Firth was described as an Asian girl, 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 35 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a dark blue sundress with a belt and a bow tied in the back.
Melbourne police said the girl’s parents may have a suicide pact. They said the parents made comments that if one of their daughters did not improve in a program for autistic children or their money ran out, they would kill their children and themselves.
Police said the parents were overwhelmed and did not know where to turn. Investigators said the girls may be with James Firth, 43, and Mai Firth, 31.
James Firth was described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black V-neck sleeveless shirt, black pants and black shoes.
Mai Firth was described as Asian, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with very long black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a multicolored flower dress and a black coat.
Authorities said the pair and the children may be traveling in a 2002 silver Lexus sport utility vehicle, with Florida tag 612-PGW.
Anyone with information should contact the Melbourne Police Department at 321-409-2205 or 911.
